Julieta Amalric graduated as Film Director at Universidad del Cine, Argentina. She participated in the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella’s Programa de Cine 2021. She is a Berlinale Talents, selected for Script Station 2023 with the screenplay of her feature film Próxima Aparición, a project awarded with recognition by Fundación PROA’s Premio Estímulo a la Escritura. Wrote and directed the short films La Mujer que Usaba Esparcidas las Ondas del Pelo, El Fuego Nace en el Agua, Algo se Aproxima, Quisiera Llegar Pronto, Amalia and De Verdad Quiero Verte Pero Llevará Mucho Tiempo all of which were selected by national and international festivals, such as Mar del Plata Int. Film Festival, BAFICI, Huesca Int. Film Festival, Black Canvas, Festival de Cine de Valdivia, Milano Film Festival, Kinoforum São Paulo, among others. She currently works as a director, scriptwriter and script consultant to film projects in development. She is Artistic Director of Syncro, International Short Film Festival of the City of Buenos Aires.
